Sarah Tomaszewski Farias, an associate professor of neurology, will discuss “Keeping Your Brain Healthy” during the final lecture in the UC Davis Alzheimer’s Disease Center 2013 Community Discovery Lecture Series.
The event will run from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at the UC Davis MIND Institute, 2825 50th St. in Sacramento.
Farias is a neuropsychologist with the Alzheimer’s Disease Center who studies the early signs of Alzheimer’s disease and how the condition affects cognitive functioning and the ability to carry out typical daily activities essential for independent living. Her presentation will highlight recent research aimed at promoting brain health and maintaining cognitive abilities among older adults.
