By
May 2, 2011 |

The public is invited to a fruit tree summer pruning workshop from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 14, at Woodland Community College, 2300 E. Gibson Road.

Participants will learn about the benefits of pruning fruit trees during the growing season and how to control the size of trees. Yolo County UC Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners will also discuss fruit bush culture, a practice that allows numerous fruit trees to be planted in a very limited space, and caring for citrus trees.

For more information on this free class, call (530) 666-8143.
