Three cooking classes — vegetarian Indian, Turkish and Japanese — will be offered at International House, Davis, this spring. The kitchen space limits enrollment to 10 people in each class. I-House is at 10 College Park.
All of the classes, which are taught by volunteers, will meet from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays: vegetarian Indian on Feb. 14, Turkish on March 21 and Japanese on April 4. The fee is $10 for I-House members and $15 for nonmembers. To reserve a space, call 530-753-5007.
“We also may offer a vegan cooking class this spring,” said Elisabeth Sherwin, I-House executive director. “Let us know if you are interested.”
I-House also is looking for a volunteer to teach a hip-hop or salsa dance class, she said.
International House has been part of the Davis scene for 32 years. It is a nonprofit committed to welcoming international students and scholars and offering Yolo County residents a place to take language and yoga classes, enjoy current event panels, see international movies and view art exhibits.
