Libertarians offer scholarships to Yolo students

The Libertarian Party of Yolo County will kick off its Liberty Scholarship program at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at the Spring Garden Restaurant, 610 Cottonwood Plaza in Woodland. The party will award three $1,000 college scholarships to Yolo County students.

Assemblyman Dan Logue, R-Marysville, a candidate for U.S. Congress, will speak at the reception.

The Liberty Scholarships may be used to help pay the costs of tuition, books or other school expenses at an institution of higher learning in Yolo or Sacramento counties.
