Library festival celebrates reading

By March 22, 2011

The Winters Community Library invites local residents to attend the annual Family Reading Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the library, 708 Railroad Ave. in Winters. The festival is free and open to all ages.

It offers an opportunity for children, parents, grandparents and other caregivers to participate in Spanish and English story time, create books, make bookmarks and enjoy other hand crafts. Participants can sign up for library cards, learn more about using the library’s computers and get tips on how to check out books.

Each child will receive a free book.

The festival is sponsored by the Yolo County Library and the Winters Friends of the Library.
