Library offers Nook digital download workshop

Those with a Nook digital reader can learn how to download library e-books at a workshop from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Stephens Branch Library, 315 E. 14th St. in Davis.

This session is intended for users of the Nook Simple Touch, Nook Color and Nook Tablet.

Vicki Lorini, Barnes & Noble community relations manager, and a technical adviser will be on hand to show users the different types of Nooks, provide instructions on how to use their Nooks, and demonstrate Yolo County Library’s free digital media download service.

There will be Nooks available for participants to try out. After the demonstration, library staff will be available to answer questions.

Participants are asked to bring their Nook, cable, laptop if possible, library card and Adobe Digital Editions ID and password (if they have one).

No reservations are required. The Blanchard Room is accessible for people with disabilities. Presented by the Yolo County Library, all programs are free. For more information, contact Joan Tuss at [email protected] or (530) 757-5588.
