Library parking lot will close for repairs

The parking lot at the Stephens Branch Library in Davis will be closed next week for resealing and restriping. The library, 315 E. 14th St., will be open as usual.

The project was begun this spring but couldn’t be completed because of inclement weather, a Yolo County spokeswoman said.

The lot will be closed from Friday through Thursday, June 14. The first summer reading program, the “Magical Wonders” magic show featuring Jon Lopez, will take place at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, as planned.

Nearby, the parking lot between Davis High School and the Veterans’ Memorial Center remains closed for installation of solar panels. As a result, library patrons are encouraged to walk, bike or ride the bus to the library.
