Library’s history is focus of meeting

The Dixon Historical Society will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, at the Methodist Church of Dixon, 209 N. Jefferson St. in Dixon.¬†Nancy Schrott of the Dixon Women’s Improvement Club and Susan B. Werrin of the Dixon Carnegie Library Preservation Society will chronicle how the women’s club obtained the Dixon Public Library for the community and more recently how the society got the venerable library on the National Register of Historic Places.

Yearly dues are $10 and are now due.
