Livestrong and prosper
More than 800 riders rolled through Yolo County on Sunday as part of the Livestrong Challenge. Riders pedaled 20, 45, 65 or 100 miles from Central Park. The ride raises money for cancer research. Volunteers like Jeanna Blaustein, 9, and brother Brett Blaustein, 7, of Davis handed roses to cancer survivors, including Jorge Helmer of San Jose, as they finished their routes. This year the Livestrong Challenge combined with the Davis Music Festival, providing live entertainment.
