Local issues air on ‘In the Studio’
Rita Montes-Martin will host three upcoming shows on “In the Studio,” airing on DCTV Channel 15 and at http://dctv.davismedia.org.
Carol Sublett and Valerie Ward of Project Linus will appear at 7 p.m. Sunday (replay 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 17). They will discuss the organization’s mission of providing love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, created by volunteer “blanketeers.” The local Davis chapter meets on the second Wednesday of the month at the Davis Senior Center.
Yolo County Public Guardian and Public Administrator Cass Sylvia will discuss the differences in her roles at 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 18 (replay 7 p.m. Sunday and Tuesday, May 22 and 24). The office of the Public Guardian is responsible for conducting the county investigation into conservatorship matters. The Public Administrator may handle the estates of those who die in Yolo County without a will or next of kin in California.
Maria Luccheci, supervisor of the Davis Senior Center, will discuss services and activities for seniors at 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 25 (replay 7 p.m. Sunday and Tuesday, May 29 and 31).
