Locals invited to preview concepts for Mace Ranch Innovation Center

By From page A3 | August 22, 2014

Community members are invited to attend an informational open house for the Mace Ranch Innovation Center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23. The event will take place at the U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame, 303 Third St.

The Mace Ranch Innovation Center, which would be built on a 185-acre parcel east of Mace Boulevard and north of Interstate 80, is in the early planning phase by Ramco Enterprises and The Buzz Oates Group of Companies.

“The Innovation Center is envisioned as a central point for established companies to work with and develop around, stimulating growth and sustainability,” said Dan Ramos, vice president of Ramco Enterprises. “We are very interested in sharing our initial ideas with the Davis community and discussing how we can shape these ideas to reflect Davis’ community values.”

The open house will feature information stations that include a project area map, anticipated schedule milestones and highlights about innovation centers and green infrastructure. Community input is being solicited during the planning and design process.
