Logos Books gets a reprieve

By From page A3 | July 25, 2013

In a story that could have been ripped from one of the books on its own shelf, Logos Books was granted a last-minute reprieve and will not have to move from its current location, 513 Second St.

An article published June 18, stated that the lease on the location was up and had not been renewed.

The issue, according to Peter Linz, who owns the shop with his wife Susan, stemmed from a misunderstanding in which landlord John Brinley promised the location to Dave Taormino, chief executive officer of Coldwell Banker Doug Arnold Real Estate. Taormino and Brinley since have made other arrangements, and Logos is now able to stay at their current location. Making way for a happy ending to the story.
“We came back from vacation and found out about it,” said Peter Linz. “There was nothing else we were seriously considering.”

“We look forward to carrying on as Davis’ best little second-hand books store!” added the Linzes in an email.
