Davis Mayor Joe Krovoza will update local residents on the state of the city when he speaks from Tuesday evening in the Community Chambers at City Hall, 23 Russell Blvd. The event, which is hosted by the Davis Vanguard, runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

Krovoza delivered a city progress report earlier this month at a Davis Chamber of Commerce luncheon.

“The State of the City is a great chance for all to hear a review of the major actions of the city in 2013, and receive a foreshadowing of what’s coming in the new year,” Krovoza said in a news release. “I’ll highlight the challenges ahead from budget and finance, to sustainability, to the delivery of core services. And then we’ll have a full Q&A.

“I hope all will come — and then increase their engagement with the council and city staff for 2014.”
