Meet farmers, enjoy samples at Nugget Market

Nugget Market at the Oak Tree Plaza, 1414 E. Covell Blvd., will host a special “Local Love Fair” event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 29.

Local food producers, farmers and vendors will be at the store, sharing information and offering product samples throughout the store.

Nugget Markets, a locally owned and operated family business, is committed to supporting farmers and businesses located within 100 miles of the company’s corporate offices in Woodland. Vendors scheduled to participate with samples and information include Kinder’s BBQ Sauce, Papatole Salsa Trading Co., Latest Scoop Gelato and California Vintage Olive Oil.

Shoppers also will be able to sample local offerings from Nugget Markets’ store departments such as specialty cheese, produce, healthy living and wine, while also trying local private-label exclusive Nugget products.

The first Nugget Market opened in Woodland in 1926. Today, the company operates nine stores in Davis, Woodland, El Dorado Hills, Vacaville, Sacramento, West Sacramento, Roseville and Elk Grove. For more information, visit www.nuggetmarket.com.
