Local residents can meet Davis police Officer Lee Hatfield and his K9 partner, Dexter, at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, at the Davis Senior Center, 646 A St.
Dexter is a multipurpose police dog trained to search for people, drugs and evidence, and to apprehend suspects. He is a social and well-mannered dog that loves attention, Hatfield says.

Dexter will give obedience and narcotics detection demonstrations.

The event is free and open to the public. RSVPs are appreciated, at the center’s front desk or by phone at 530-757-5696.
