Monthly journaling group targets grief

By From page A4 | February 05, 2013

Yolo Hospice’s “Journaling through Grief” is a monthly facilitated group that will explore and express thoughts, feelings and reactions to grief in a non-judgmental and confidential atmosphere. The group begins Tuesday and will meet from 4 to 6 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month thereafter, at the Yolo Hospice office, 1909 Galileo Court, Suite A, in South Davis.

There is no fee to participate. Pre-registration is required, but participants may enter the workshop at any time.

“Grief can have a far-reaching and profound impact on one’s life,” a news release said. “Journaling can help clarify and give expression to grief.”

Participants are asked to bring their own writing materials and journal, and are invited to share their stories at their own comfort level.

To sign up, call Yolo Hospice Bereavement Services at 530-601-5756.
