More download workshops set at library

Due to an overwhelming response to the digital download workshop earlier this month, two more workshops are planned in February at the Stephens Branch Library, 315 E. 14th St. in Davis.

Users of iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch devices are invited to attend the OverDrive Workshop from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, in the Blanchard Room. The workshop will cover how to use the library’s free digital media download service (OverDrive) to download e-books and audiobooks to an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch.

After a demonstration, library staff will be available to answer questions. Participants are asked to bring their device, library card, Apple ID and password, and Adobe Digital Editions ID and password (if they have one).

Another workshop Saturday, Feb. 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., will be geared toward Kindle and the Kindle reading app. Participants are asked to bring their Kindle or device that has the Kindle reading app downloaded on it, wireless laptop (optional), library card, Adobe Digital Editions ID and Password (if they have one), and Amazon.com account sign-in and password to which the Kindle or Kindle App is registered.

No reservations are required for the workshops, which are free. The Blanchard Room is accessible to people with disabilities.
