Motorcycle crash injures Winters man

By From page A3 | January 11, 2013

A Winters man was listed in serious but stable condition at the UC Davis Medical Center on Thursday after being ejected from his motorcycle the day before.

California Highway Patrol Officer Bryan Konvalin said Miguel Jara Jr., 48, was riding his Yamaha motorcycle eastbound on Myrtle Drive east of Shams Way in Winters at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of the bike.

The motorcycle rolled over and threw Jara onto the roadway. Jara was not wearing a helmet and suffered major injuries, Konvalin said.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
