NAMI-Yolo invites mental health consumers, family members, friends and concerned citizens to meet Yolo County Health Director Jill Cook at its next monthly potluck dinner and meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 8. The event will run from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Episcopal Church of St. Martin Social Hall, 640 Hawthorn Lane in Davis. Attendance is free.
Cook and Mark Bryan, her deputy for alcohol, drug and mental health services, will talk about Yolo County’s plans for its share of Proposition 63 mental health funds and California’s new funds for crisis services. They’ll also explain the county’s plan to integrate alcohol, drug and mental health services into the Department of Health and Human Services, and how that can improve services to clients.
The potluck dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. and the program follows at 7:30. All are asked to bring a dish to share if they can, but are welcome even if they can’t. Those with last names beginning with A-H are asked to bring a dessert, I-P a main dish and Q-Z a salad.
