New movement class session starts

By From page A6 | May 03, 2013

As we age, we are more likely to fall and hurt ourselves. Jeannette Hogan, who teaches Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement classes through the city of Davis, invites local residents to learn how to move with greater ease and flexibility, reducing their fear and risk of falling.

Classes take place Tuesdays from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. for continuing students and from 11:30 a.m.to 12:30 p.m. for beginners at the Davis Senior Center, 646 A St.

The cost is $22 for a four-week series. This is an ongoing class with monthly themes; feel free to join any month or come to observe or to try it out. Participants should wear comfortable clothes, which can be layered for warmth, and bring a towel.

Register at the Senior Center or online at www.cityofdavis.org. For more information call 757-5696 or contact Hogan at 530-848-8432 or [email protected].
