The Parent Place, a new community parent resource, will open its doors on Tuesday, May 17, at 907 Third Street in Davis.
The Parent Place aims to increase parenting skills by providing information and coordinated access to resources. Supported by parent volunteers, community organizations and the Yolo Family Resource Center, the organization will offer a free lending library, including a broad range of parenting books and DVDs, peer support, online parenting resources and a listing of area professionals specializing in children and parenting. Upcoming services will include parenting classes, presentations, book clubs, support groups and more.
Office hours for May are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays and 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays.
