Night walk set at Cache Creek Reserve

By From page A4 | March 11, 2014

The Cache Creek Conservancy is offering a guided night walk from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 13. The hike will feature night-time sounds of the Cache Creek Nature Preserve, 34199 County Road 20 in Woodland.

This program was offered last November and the participants were fortunate to see several animals and hear even more in the darkness. Many of the animals that live in this area are nocturnal, looking for something to eat or just taking a swim at night.

With a full moon rising, visitors will enjoy an easy walk along the trails to hear and observe a different aspect of the outdoor world. This program is appropriate for children and adults and will last approximately an hour.

There is no charge although donations are always appreciated. Bring your own drinking water and wear closed toe shoes. Dogs are not allowed.

For more information, contact the conservancy at 530-661-1070 or [email protected].
