After a brief winter hiatus, Odd Poetry will start up again Friday, as part of the Second Friday ArtAbout in downtown Davis.
Poetry readings will begin at 6 p.m. and run till at least 7 p.m. — until all poets and enthusiasts have had a chance to recite their favorite verses for family, friends and neighbors — outside the Odd Fellows Hall, 415 Second St. in downtown Davis. The event is free.
On March 8, Odd Poetry Committee members will highlight their favorite American and California poems. Poets and community members are welcome to drop by and recite their favorite verses — whether they are original, famous or totally unknown. The mission of the Odd Poetry Committee is to make all poetry accessible and enjoyable to Davis residents and visitors alike.
The reading will move indoors if the weather is cool or inclement.
