OneVoice program on Mideast comes to town

By March 3, 2011

The OneVoice Movement to End the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict will bring its Northern California speaking tour to Davis at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 10, in the north classroom of Congregation Bet Haverim, 1715 Anderson Road in Davis.

OneVoice is an international grassroots movement that empowers mainstream Israelis and Palestinians to propel their elected representatives toward a two-state solution. The movement recognizes that violence by either side will never be a means to end the conflict.

Speakers will include Bashar Shwaiki from OneVoice Palestine and Tomer Avital from OneVoice Israel. This program is freeĀ and open to the public, and is co-sponsored by Israel Peace Alternatives and J Street Davis.
