Ortiz gets Yolo teachers’ support

Jesse Ortiz, a candidate for Yolo County superintendent of schools, has been endorsed by the California Teachers Association’s Yolo County chapter.

Teachers throughout Yolo County participated in the endorsement process and found Ortiz to be the best candidate for the job because of his experience with K-12 education as well as his work at the community college and university levels, said Mike Patterson, Capital Service Center Council chair and a member of the Association for Better Citizenship for the California Teachers Association.

“Jesse Ortiz understands Yolo County and is the right person to work with teachers and districts to help every Yolo County student to reach their full potential,” Patterson said in a news release.
