Overnight shelter open during aerial spraying

By August 08, 2014

Due to aerial spraying for the West Nile virus, an overnight shelter will be open at Davis Community Church from 7 p.m. today to 6 a.m. Friday. Intake will occur at the DCC Fellowship Hall, 421 D St., from 7 to 7:30 p.m.

People interested in providing a potluck item for a light dinner may drop it off at the Fellowship Hall between 7 and 7:30 p.m.

The Sacramento-Yolo Mosquito & Vector Control District will spray mosquito-killing insecticide tonight between 8 p.m. and midnight over both Davis and Woodland. The Davis area being sprayed extends from County Road 29 on the north down to Levee Road on the south and from County Road 98 on the west to County Road 105 on the east.
