Panel discusses STEM careers for girls

Seventh- through 12th-grade girls, their families and friends are invited to hear a women’s panel discuss science careers in STEM fields at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 2, in the Blanchard room of the Stevens Branch Library, 315 E. 14th St.

The American Association of University Women Davis is sponsoring the panel, which features five women in diverse science and technology fields to share insights about career ambitions. Speakers include Ramona Swenson, aquatics ecologist; Rhonda Reed, fisheries biologist; Alinia Asmundson, program manager at Intel; Alison van Eenennaam, animal genomics and biotechnology; and Lesley Stern, air resources engineer.
