‘Party at the Farm’ raises funds for Democratic candidates

The West Yolo Democratic Club will present “Party at the Farm” from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday July 28, at Russ and Kathy Lester’s Dixon Ridge Farms, 5430 Putah Creek Road, between Winters and Davis.

This fundraiser for Democratic candidates includes a full-catered dinner by El Pueblo of Winters, drinks, speakers, music, an auction of delectable desserts, a silent auction of treasures and a tour of Dixon Ridge Farms.

Rep. John Garamendi, D-Walnut Grove, and Carlos Alcala, chairman of the Chicano/Latino California Democratic Party, will be featured guests.

Music will be provided by the Richard Livingston Trio.

Dixon Ridge Farms has been honored with numerous awards for its organic and agricultural self-sufficiency, receiving the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s 2012 Sustainable Agricultural Champion award, the 2011 Cool California Small Business of the Year Award and the 2010 Natural Resources Defense Council’s Growing Green Award.
