Saturday will be the last day to purchase items salvaged from the Peña house and donated to the Hattie Weber Museum of Davis. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the museum.
Remaining items include a table and six chairs, light fixtures, lace curtain panels, a toaster and an oak medicine cabinet with a mirror.
The museum is at 445 C St., in the northeast corner of Central Park. It is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays. Admission is free but donations are accepted with gratitude.
In addition to the sale items, there are new exhibits at the museum: a 1945 O’Keefe and Merritt stove and porch columns from the Peña house, and a timeline of the development of the city by John Lofland.
Also on exhibit are “Hattie’s Attic: Treasures from Our Cupboards,” featuring interesting items from Davis’ past, including a balustrade that may be from the Weber/Brinley home that stood across Second Street from the Dresbach/Hunt/Boyer home, where the Brinley Building is now.
