By From page A14 | February 16, 2014

The UC Davis Chancellor’s Colloquium series continues at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, as dance innovator Stephen Petronio shares “Confessions of a Motion Addict” in Jackson Hall of the Mondavi Center.

“For nearly 30 years, Petronio has honed a unique language of movement that speaks to the intuitive and complex possibilities of the body within the shifting sphere of our current time,” states a UCD press release.
Petronio was born in Newark, New Jersey, and earned a bachelor’s degree from Hampshire College, in Amherst, Mass. He was influenced by working with Steve Paxton as well as the dancing of Rudolph Nureyev and was the first male dancer of the Trisha Brown Company (1979 to 1986).
This event is free and open to the public. A reception will follow.
