Pets of the week

By From page A2 | April 09, 2013

Lots of dogs and cats are waiting to be adopted at the Yolo County Animal Shelter, 2640 E. Gibson Road in Woodland. Among them are Sierra (No. 114892), a 3-year-old spayed female domestic long-haired calico cat. She has a mellow personality and is great with kids, shelter personnel say. Also hoping for a good home is Stanley (No. 114725), a 3-year-old neutered male miniature poodle mix with an apricot coat. He needs a home with no young children. Fees are charged for licensing and spaying or neutering, if necessary. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays (closed for lunch from 1 to 2 p.m. each day). For more information on how to adopt a pet, call 530-668-5287 or visit http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/CA283html (type 95776 into the ZIP code window for shelter animals).
