Pets of the week

By From page A5 | February 11, 2014

Lots of dogs and cats are waiting to be adopted at the Yolo County Animal Shelter, 2640 E. Gibson Road in Woodland. Among them is Scruffy (No. 121666), a 7-year-old neutered male black and tan terrier mix. Also hoping for a good home is Patches (No. 085925), a 5-year-old spayed female calico short-haired domestic cat, who would be perfect for a quiet home. Fees are charged for licensing. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays (closed for lunch from 1 to 2 p.m. each day). For more information on how to adopt a pet, call 530-668-5287 or visit http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/CA283html (type 95776 into the ZIP code window for shelter animals).
