Lots of animals are waiting to be adopted at the Yolo County Animal Shelter, 2640 E. Gibson Road in Woodland. Among them is Babies (No. 125206), a 10-year-old spayed female domestic brown and white snowshoe cat. Also hoping for a good home is Cowboy (No. 125583), a 7-year-old neutered male black and white border collie mix. Fees are charged for licensing. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays (closed for lunch from 1 to 2 p.m. each day). For more information on how to adopt a pet, call 530-668-5287 or visit http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/CA283html (type 95776 into the ZIP code window for shelter animals).
