Lots of dogs and cats are waiting to be adopted at the Yolo County Animal Shelter, 2640 E. Gibson Road in Woodland. Among them is Sandy (No. 92389), a 1-year-old female
domestic medium hair, orange tabby cat. Also hoping for a good home is Muppet (No. 92437), an 8-month-old neutered male poodle and miniature Schnauzer mix dog, who is high energy, a shelter spokesperson says. Fees are charged for licensing and spaying or neutering, if necessary. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through
Fridays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays (closed for lunch from 1 to 2 p.m. each day). For more information on how to adopt a pet, call (530) 668-5287 or visit http://www.
