Lots of dogs and cats are waiting to be adopted at the Yolo County Animal Shelter, 2640 E. Gibson Road in Woodland. Among them is Jackie (No. 97069), an 18-month-old spayed female terrier mix. She would do best in a home with no other dogs and no cats. Also hoping for a good home is Squeaker (No. 96766), a 4-year-old neutered male orange-and-white tabby cat who loves to play with toys. Fees are charged for licensing and spaying or neutering, if necessary. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays (closed for lunch from 1 to 2 p.m. each day).
