Lots of dogs and cats are waiting to be adopted at the Yolo County Animal Shelter, 2640 E. Gibson Road in Woodland. Among them are Abigail (No. 111464), an 18-month-old spayed female border collie mix. Also hoping for a good home is Bunnie (No. 110929), a 3-year-old spayed female gray-and-white tabby cat. Fees are charged for licensing and spaying or neutering, if necessary. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays (closed for lunch from 1 to 2 p.m. each day).
