Lots of dogs and cats are waiting to be adopted at the Yolo County Animal Shelter, 2640 E. Gibson Road in Woodland. Among them are Ralphy(No. 111119), a 3-month-old neutered male pit bull puppy. Also hoping for a good home is Rainbow (No. 110366), a 1-year-old spayed female tri-colored tabby cat, described by shelter personnel as “gentle” and “affectionate.” Fees are charged for licensing and spaying or neutering, if necessary. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays (closed for lunch from 1 to 2 p.m. each day).
