Play and learn workshops set at Winters Library

By From page A9 | February 23, 2014

The Winters Community Library, 708 Railroad Ave. in Winters, will host a four-part parenting workshop this spring for the parents and caregivers of children ages 1 to 4. The series will be held 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. every Thursday in March.
Toddlers, preschoolers and their parents will have the opportunity to play together with developmentally appropriate toys, learn together with an early childhood specialist, and get to know other parents in the community with like-aged children.
Dramatic play, music and art, gross and fine motor skills, as well as books and puppet play will be incorporated into the series. Presenters will include a pediatrician, an occupational therapist, a child psychologist and a nutritionist.
This series is sponsored by First 5 Yolo, Family Place Libraries and the Yolo County Library. The workshop is free, but registration is required and space is limited. A Spanish interpreter will be present to help Spanish-speaking families communicate with the presenters.
For more information or to register, call the Winters Community Library at 530-795-4955.
