Davis became Hollywood for a day on Saturday as Davis High School graduates Alex Michael Harris and Brent Pella shot scenes for Harris’ junior thesis film project at the DHS baseball diamond. The film, which stars four lead actors and has a 25-person crew, is a big undertaking for the young men, who got an assist from DHS students and graduates who played the cheering crowd during Saturday’s shoot.

Like his film protagonist, Harris played varsity baseball in high school; now, he’s a film major at Loyola Marymount University. He and Pella co-founded their own production company, Thumbs Up Entertainment, and they’ve produced a music video for U.K.-based Nikki Murray using lead actor Leslie David Baker, who plays Stanley Hudson in “The Office.” Harris and Pella also produced the debut music video for N.U.M., a music group discovered by 50 Cent.
