Are you ready to shed your long hair for a good cause?

Hair stylists at Nina’s Studio are promoting a Pantene Beautiful Lengths ponytail-cutting event in partnership with the American Cancer Society. Donated hair is used to make free wigs for women who have lost their hair during cancer treatments.

Ponytails must be at least 8 inches long and cannot be bleached, permanently colored, chemically treated or more than 5 percent gray.

The promotion runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Nina’s Studio, 241 F St. in downtown Davis, but willing participants may donate their hair throughout December by appointment.

For more information, contact Magda Padilla at magda_padilla@yahoo.com or Vanessa Silva at totalbanny@aol.com, or call Nina’s Studio at 530-758-9221.
