Portion of County Road 29 closed June 8-9

On Sunday, June 8, County Road 29 will be closed north of Davis, from County Road 101A to County Road 102, due to emergency railroad maintenance activities.

California Northern Railroad’s contractor, H & H Engineering, will be replacing the defective County Road 29 railroad crossing, just east of County Road 101A. The road closure is expected to continue until noon on Monday, June 9.

Detour signs will be posted directing motorists to use the following roads: County Road 101A/F Street, Covell Boulevard and Pole Line Road. Local traffic will be allowed access during the project from County Road 102.

Motorists and bicyclists are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.
