Businesses can learn about PR strategies

The Davis Chamber of Commerce will host “Seminar for Success: Community Engagement 101″ from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, at the Yolo Federal Credit Union, 501 G St. in downtown Davis.

The seminar will present free and low-cost ways to strengthen business relationships and “raise awareness of products, services and organizations,” according to a news release.

Presenters are Debbie Davis, editor/assistant publisher of The Davis Enterprise, who will talk about how to use traditional media like community newspapers to market your business; and Luis Soca of the Sacramento Region Community Foundation, who will present the “Best Practices of Social Media” and offer tips on various social media platforms.

Registration is free for members of the Chamber of Commerce and $5 for nonmembers. For more information, visit davischamber.com.
