Happiness is a warm blanket, made with love!

If you enjoy quilting, knitting or sewing, you’re invited to the March 13 meeting of Project Linus of Yolo County, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Davis Senior Center, 646 A St.

Volunteers make blankets for children in the community who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need. A record total of 1,368 blankets were made and donated by Project Linus in 2012.

“We also share ideas, patterns and lots of good conversation,” a spokeswoman said.

New fabrics and yarn are available each month for pickup and may be taken home to complete a blanket. Finished blankets may be brought to the next monthly gathering or dropped off at Diane McGee’s house. For drop-off location questions, fabric or yarn donations or more information, contact McGee at [email protected] or 530-753-3436.
