Property taxes due Dec. 10

By From page A5 | December 08, 2013

Yolo County Tax Collector Howard Newens reminds taxpayers who own property in Yolo County that the first installment of 2013-14 secured property taxes are due.

Taxes become delinquent if not paid by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, after which a 10 percent penalty will be added. Envelopes must be postmarked no later than Dec. 10 but Newens recommends mailing earlier to ensure the proper postmark.

Taxpayers also may pay by credit card or electronic check at www.yolocounty.org (select Prop. Tax/Parcel # link) or by phone at 866-895-5027.

If you have questions about your bill, or if you haven’t received a bill, stop by the tax collector’s office in the County Administration Building, 625 Court St. in Woodland, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays, or call 530-666-8625.
