Reduced summer hours set for Winters Library

By From page A5 | May 19, 2013

Summer hours at the Winters Community Library, a branch of the Yolo County Library system, will begin Monday, June 3. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 1 to 5 p.m. Saturdays. The library will be closed on Fridays and Sundays.

The reduced summer hours have been set in an effort to bring expenditures more in line with revenues, said Patty Wong, county librarian. This schedule allows the library to maintain evening, morning and weekend hours, and stay open a minimum of five days a week, she said.

Summer reading programs, knitting programs and preschool story times will continue as usual.

The library is at 708 Railroad Ave. in Winters. For more information, call the library at 530-795-4955 or visit www.yolocountylibrary.org.
