Blanche Shannon, Nancy Anderson and Ann Arneson, members of a 12-person American Cancer Society Relay For Life team, walk for their coach’s mother, Silvana Castro, who has colon cancer that has spread. Arneson used to own Curves in West Davis, where many clients were cancer survivors. The 24-hour continuous relay, which began at 10 a.m. Saturday on the track at Emerson Junior High School, continues until 10 a.m. Sunday. It is designed to raise both awareness of cancer and funds to continue and expand research.
