Rexroad schemes for bigger donations

Locals are trying to give more to the poor through a more focused advertising and education campaign.

Yolo County supervisor Matt Rexroad hosts a discussion of the Greater Sacramento Generosity Project from 2 to 6 p.m. on Feb 2 at the County Administration Building, 625 Court St., Woodland.

Rexroad will join leaders from businesses, nonprofits, foundations and governments from Yolo, Sacramento, Placer and El Dorado counties. Together, they’ll try to better understand charity through data from community meetings and online surveys. Using the information, the group will craft a marketing and education campaign designed to spike donations.

Information gathered reamins anonymous. The data, once pooled and organized, will me made available to community organizations.
