Right tree, right place

By From page A10 | May 05, 2013

Tree Davis, the city of Davis and PG&E commemorated Arbor Day by planting 30 new trees Saturday on Claremont Drive behind Nugget Market, 1414 E. Covell Blvd. in East Davis. The trees were planted in the place of 18 trees that had grown too large for their current location underneath PG&E high-voltage power lines and had become “unsafe and unhealthy,” a news release said. Tree Davis volunteers also took the opportunity Saturday to educate the public on “planting the right tree in the right place.”
