The Woodland Library Rose Club will hold its October meeting in the Leake Room of the Woodland Public Library on Saturday, Oct. 13. Members and visitors are encouraged to come at 9:30 a.m. for refreshments. The meeting will begin at 9:45 a.m. with a short business meeting and a 10:30 a.m. presentation by Anne Miller, of Anne Miller Photography.
Miller’s talk, “Taking Creative Photos in Your Garden” will touch on finding beauty in the ordinary and everyday things that touch us. She will accompany members in the garden to give advice on finding that unexpected majesty that surrounds us every day.
Miller is an accomplished photographer who is also skilled in computer science. Her images have been featured at The Viewpoint Gallery in Sacramento and The Artery in Davis. For more information, visit www.annemillerphotography.com.
The Woodland Library Rose Club is an all-volunteer group of gardeners who tend the rose garden at the library, 250 First St. The club holds several fundraisers throughout the year with proceeds going toward upkeep and improvements to the garden. Club members are frequently seen working in the garden throughout the month and have dedicated the first Saturday of the month as garden workdays.
