The Woodland Library Rose Club will meet at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the Leake Room at the library, 250 First St. in downtown Woodland. Following refreshments, a short business meeting will begin at 9:45 a.m. At 10:15 a.m., Maryellen Mackenzie will teach members how to create a wreath out of succulents. Members are asked to bring a variety of succulents to use in their wreaths, plus $5, to cover costs.

Mackenzie is a former president of the Woodland Library Rose Club and is a Master Gardener who enjoys sharing her knowledge of gardening and rose care. She is serving as chairwoman of the garden maintenance committee

The Woodland Library Rose Club is an all-volunteer group of gardeners who tend the rose garden at the public library. The club holds several fundraisers throughout the year, with proceeds going towards upkeep and improvements to the garden. Club members are frequently seen working in the garden throughout the month and have dedicated the first Saturday of the month as garden workdays.
